PR activists injured, 3 killed
Three motorcycle-borne PR supporters were killed and two others grievously injured after they crashed into another motorcycle during a procession on Tuesday morning undertaken by Chiranjeevi as part of his Praja Ankita Yatra in the district.
The accident took place on the Guntur-Tenali road. While two died on the spot, the third person died while undergoing treatment. The deceased were identified as Adusumilli Purnachandra Rao (33) and Alla Brahmam (30), belonging to Chakrayepalem. The injured were Veera Raghavaiah, Pasuparthi Venkateswarulu and M. Sambasiva Rao.
In another incident at Tenali, two persons suffered injuries when they slipped from roof tops and fell on the road while trying to view Chiranjeevi’s convoy.
Congress minority leaders join PRP
Town Congress committee minority wing leaders S.H. Sharif, joint secretary, and Manu Khan, treasurer, on Tuesday joined the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) along with five more members of the wing and 50 supporters from Abhad Street in the presence of Gurana Ayyalu, PRP leader.
